Over the next few years, in addition to the synthesis of research results on the topics of Global Cooperation and Polycentric Governance, and Pathways and Mechanisms of Global Cooperation from 2021 onwards, the thematic focus will be on Critique, Justification and Legitimacy of Global Cooperation, as well as Global Cooperation and Competing Conceptions of World Order. Simultaneously, the Centre will intensify the work on the four policy fields in a comparative perspective. The interdisciplinary research approach and the extensive participation of international guest researchers remain central to this process. At the same time, an even broader involvement of UDE researchers in a variety of project contexts is being sought, including through the Annual Conference, in order to make a visible contribution to the university’s profile on issues of sustainability and social responsibility.
