Educational Sciences
How can individuals shape their lives so that they experience success and fulfilment? What types of support are effective, legitimate and able to be institutionalised? How can individual development be integrated in changing societies so that they become viable and sustainable? These are the questions at the intersection between individual and social change that drive research at the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
The three different directions these questions take, as to effects, legitimacy and institutions, call for different scientific approaches and are part of the constitutive discussion on the relevance and integration of research findings. Scientific cooperation in the Faculty is thus guided by the principles of reflection and sensitivity and as such has an effective safeguard against one-sided, monopolitical approaches to the object of its research.
