Institute for Energy and Enviromental Technology
The scientific areas in which the institute works can be grouped according to five key themes:
- Aerosols & Fine Dust
- (Sustainable) Nanotechnology
- Functional Surfaces
- Future Energy Supply
- Highly Toxic Compounds
On account of the large bandwidth and high complexity of these research areas, R&D projects are usually handled by interdisciplinary teams of specialists in mechanical and process engineering, energy technology, chemistry, analytics and control engineering from the various IUTA divisions. The main focus of the institute's work and some highlights of 2008 and 2009 are described in the following sections.
