Intro

The Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) is an interdisciplinary research centre for the humanities, cultural studies and social sciences in the tradition of international advanced study institutes. In its role as an inter-university institution connecting the Ruhr University Bochum, the Technological University Dortmund and the University of Duisburg-Essen it works together with the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr) scholars as well as regional, national and global partners. Within the Ruhr area, the KWI offers a place where the results of ambitious research can also be shared and discussed with interested parties from the city and the larger region.
