Physics
Since the launch of Collaborative Research Centre SFB 876 “Providing Information by Resource-Constrained Data Analysis”, the Faculty of Physics is now involved in a total of five collaborative research centres, three of which will draw to a close in the next few years. To continue the Faculty’s excellent research and guarantee ongoing funding, it will be necessary in the coming years to take on the challenge of devising and establishing new collaborative research centres.
The research groups in the Faculty of Physics represent a central part of the main research area of Nanosciences at the University of Duisburg-Essen. This coupled with the excellent network provided by the Center for Nanointegration Duisburg-Essen (CeNIDE) is a solid basis on which new collaborative research centres can be established.
