In future, the DTNW will concentrate on the application of the principles of photochemical processes for new compounds and composites. It will also work on the development of adaptive surfaces for innovative filter and membrane technology, and develop novel filter materials for selective binding of pollutants. Other future research interests include organometallic catalysts on flexible surfaces and the basic principles of medical textiles.
