Intro
Research and teaching at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE) on “nano” – one billionth of a unit of measurement – have been coordinated since 2005 by the Center for Nanointegration Duisburg-Essen (CENIDE) and extend from basic research to scalable production and processing of functional nanomaterials. CENIDE combines the expertise of over 70 research groups from the natural sciences, engineering and medicine. It is one of the largest nanoscience research centres in the Germanspeaking world and cooperates closely with Max Planck Institutes and leading partner companies.
