Institute for Development and Peace

INEF successfully competed for two "Leuchtturm" research projects awarded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). INEF's position has thus been strengthened in research areas in which it has already established a national and increasingly also international reputation: human rights and corporate responsibility as an important means for development, and instruments and procedures of international development cooperation in post-conflict situations. This further enhances INEF's profile as an institute at the interface between development and peace research. In future, INEF will continue to work on the fundamental questions of global governance, based on project findings in recent years concerning the role of private actors in different sectors of international and transnational politics. Alongside these projects in basic research, future work will also comprise a systematic reflection on INEF's 20 years of experience in political consulting and applied research.
