Chemistry

The Faculty of Chemistry covers the full range of research in the sciences. Alongside the classical disciplines of Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Technical Chemistry, the faculty’s portfolio also includes Analytical Chemistry, the Biofilm Centre, Chemistry Education and Theoretical Chemistry.
Every year, more than 35 young scientists, among them not only chemists but also physicists, biologists and engineers, earn their Ph.D. in this environment. Over 1300 students and 180 doctoral students are enrolled in the Faculty of Chemistry.
