Cooperation and International Partnerships
Founded in 2005 under a cooperation agreement between the University of Duisburg-Essen and Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands), this German-Dutch collaboration is still active today. At the University of Duisburg-Essen itself, particularly close ties exist with the Faculty of Engineering and University Hospital Essen, and on the Dutch side with Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at Radboud University Hospital and the Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging, Nijmegen. Long-standing cooperation partners include the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) in Heidelberg and Siemens Healthcare, Erlangen, as the technology partner.
Over the past two years, additional cooperation has also taken place on research projects with numerous other partners.
