- After completing a research semester at the Rocky Mountain Laboratory of the National Institute of Health in Montana, USA in 2011, Prof. Ulf Dittmer is continuing his work in close collaboration with Dr. Kim Hasenkrug. Their aim is to develop a mouse with a human immune system.
- Prof. Ralf Küppers has been part of the Blueprint research group since 2011; together with over 40 partners from Europe, he is investigating the epigenome of the hematopoietic system.
- Prof. Thomas Schrader is in successful collaboration with the neurology group of Prof. Dr. Gal Bitan at the University of California, L.A., USA on the topic of new therapy strategies for protein folding disorders.
- In the field of leukaemia research, the Clinic for Hematology under Prof. Dr. Ulrich Dührsen is collaborating with Prof. Tarik Möröy at McGill University, Montréal, Canada.
- Dr. Dominik Heider intensified his successful collaboration with the University of Cagliari with a publication and two periods as visiting professor at the university. A third-party funded project is in the planning stage.
